Our Thesis

Root2 Ventures invests in early-stage companies at the intersection of deep technology and financial infrastructure. We focus on pre-seed through Series B rounds, partnering with technical founders who are building fundamental layers of technology.

We believe the most transformative companies are built on breakthrough science and engineering — not incremental improvements. Our name comes from √2, the first irrational number, a discovery that challenged the mathematical foundations of its era. We look for founders with that same potential to redefine what's possible.

DeepTech

AI/ML, quantum computing, advanced materials, robotics, biotech infrastructure, and climate tech.

FinTech

Payments infrastructure, embedded finance, DeFi protocols, regtech, and next-gen capital markets.

Our Approach

Conviction

We invest with thesis-driven conviction, backing founders before the market catches up.

Depth

We go deep on the technology. Our diligence is rooted in understanding the science and engineering.

Partnership

We are hands-on advisors, not passive capital. We help with hiring, strategy, and go-to-market.

Long-term thinking

Fundamental technologies take time. We are patient investors building for lasting impact.
